ST KILDA PHOTOGRAPHY PRIZE 2010
TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.Terms and conditions
(a) Entries for the ‘The Essence of St Kilda’ Photography Prize 2010 will be considered from still photo-based analogue and digital media.

(b) Work/s of postcard size (100mm x 150mm) only, will be considered

(c) Only images taken within 3182 as defined by the boundary map displayed on www.stkildaessence.com.au.

(d) Each entrant may submit up to 3 different images each attracting a separate entry fee of $25.00.

(e) Entries will be judged in PRINT form only.  Judges will select one work only for exhibition from each chosen finalist.

(f) Entries must include:
     Hard copy:
         • X2 copies of postcard size images (100mm x150mm) to be considered for the exhibition.
     Digitally:
         • Email images to photo@stkildaessence.com.au
     Or
         • On CD (Jpeg 300dpi or TIFF) to be considered for the exhibition.

(g) The closing date for entries is 5pm on Friday 27th August 2010

(h) Entries must be posted and addressed to:

In a sealed envelope containing: the entry form, payment, x2 copies and CD if not emailed.

Each CD must be clearly marked in permanent marker with the artist’s name and a title of work/s as well as the location and date where each was taken.  Do not use adhesive labels. Each photo must also be clearly marked on its reverse

(i) Any entry not accompanied with payment of the entry fee will be deemed ineligible.

(j) Payment of entry fee may be made by cheque, money order or netbank payment to St Kilda Village Traders’ Group Inc.

PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR NAME ON THE TRANSACTION.

(k) Members of the St Kilda Village and Fitzroy Street Traders Associations committee and employees of the St Kilda Traders Group Inc or the organiser and members of their immediate family are ineligible to enter.

(l) The judges will award cash prizes to the value of $7000 to the winning photographs.

(m) Copyright of all the photographs exhibited will remain with the artist.  It is a condition of entry however that entrants grant the St Kilda Village and Fitzroy Street Traders Associations the right to freely use and reproduce all exhibited works for publicity and promotional purposes associated with the Essence of St Kilda Photography Prize 10 in both digital and print mediums.

(n) Final judging will take place prior to the works being installed for exhibition. then announced at the Exhibition Launch on 6th October 2010, venue to be confirmed.

Prize winners will be announced on the http://www.stkildaessence.com.au website.

(o) All decisions of the judges are final, and not subject to review.  

(p) The image/s submitted must be an original creation of the artist submitting the image.

(q) The St Kilda Traders Group Inc shall be under no liability to the artist in respect of any work.

(r) All personal information gathered by The St Kilda Traders group Inc will be used solely for the purpose of administering ‘The Essence of St Kilda Photography Prize 10’.
